Guide: How to get indexed quickly by Google
How to get indexed quickly by Google
Getting your website indexed by Google is important if you aim to capture organic search engine traffic. Here are a few tips to help you get indexed quickly by Google.
Social bookmarking
Submitting your URL to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Reddit, Propeller, and so on, can send search engine spiders to your sites for rapid indexing. Sites with rapid turnover like Digg are indexed by Google every couple minutes, so if your link appears in the Upcoming section (not just the Front page), Google can learn about your new website. You should always bookmark your websites with several services. Socialmarker.com has a free, semi-automated service for bookmarking your sites.
Blog and ping
Blog and ping is an old but effective method that has been abused by spammers. In this case, you create a blog post with links to your new website. You can use freehosts like blogspot.com or wordpress.com. Then, you submit your blog to a ping service, such as pingoat.com. The ping service tells the spiders to check out your new blog post, where they will find links to your new website. This activity can be abused and might be considered black hat by some. There are programs that will automatically generate spam blogs for the sole purpose of blog and ping indexing.
Other ways to improve indexing by Google
You don’t always have to try to force your site to get indexed. Try just submitting your URL to Google directly, using the submit URL feature. Another old trick, that does not work as effectively as before, is to put Adsense on your site. This used to get your site indexed quickly, as Google would need to read your content to figure out what ads to serve. However, these days, it does not help as much as before. Just take a few steps to help with indexing, but as long as you focus on natural website growth and linking, you should not have much of a problem getting indexed. The real challenge for indexing is getting ALL of your pages indexed. This can be helped by deep-linking. However, as long as you are providing quality content on all of your website’s pages, this should not be too much of a problem.
